The first major event at RE:Ukraine Housing Lutsk was the Family Kite Festival.
RE:Ukraine Housing Lutsk is located in Zhydychyn village near Lutsk city. It is designed to be a hub for the recovery of Ukrainians affected by the war. Although the project is still in the implementation phase, it's territory can already be used as a venue for family festivals, art therapy sessions, educational initiatives, veteran projects, and other recovery-focused activities.
The idea to host the Family Kite Festival at RE:Ukraine Housing Lutsk was proposed by the NGO "Brainstorm."
Hundreds of people came to Zhydychyn to craft and launch their own kites. The festival featured various activity points, including robotics and radio technology, automotive and aviation modeling, design, creative workshops, board games, and other engaging activities for children.
We were thrilled to support the idea of holding the kite festival at this location, as it has transformed the RE:Ukraine Housing Lutsk territory into a place filled with joy and children's laughter,
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in kite-flying competitions.
A specially designed photo zone allowed families to capture memories of the festival.
Visitors also had the chance to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces by making a donation in exchange for treats. This initiative raised 15,000 UAH for the charity fund "Angar.Ukraine."
Festival partners included Algorytm platform, the creative event agency Feel Good, Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Lutsk City Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity, CrimeaSOS, Resiliency Center "Fox House", the Rokada Charitable Foundation, and the Department of Family, Youth and Sports.
