On August 2-3, the International Literary Festival "Frontera" will take place in Lutsk for the fifth time, bringing together Ukrainian and international writers, translators, and media professionals. Around 60 participants from Ukraine, Spain, Colombia, Great Britain, and Poland are expected to attend.
The organizers have prepared a rich and diverse program for all visitors. The festival will feature poetry readings, panel discussions, public talks, stand-up comedy, and musical performances. Highlights include the presentation of the new issue of Reporters magazine, published in partnership with the "Frontera" Literary Platform; a live recording of Kult: Podcast; the theatrical and musical performance Rock'n'Roll for PAKO by the Garmyder Theater; stand-up comedy about books, life, and humor; and performances by the band Krykhitka and singer Marina Krut.

Let's remember that the focus theme of this year's festival is "Community."
"The "Frontera" program is an attempt to reflect on the community in 23 different ways: through poems, by discussing landscapes, the texts of military and civilian personnel, looking at Instagram photos, reflecting on history, and searching for what experiences, worldviews, and hopes will help us build the future. 23 events mean 23 potential common denominators. Approximately 60 individuals are part of the program, representing various fields including literature, music, media, cinematography, business, and civic activism. We have diverse regions, communities, and identities — all within one country. What stitches it all together, and what is stronger than contradictions and uncertainty? Let this be a story of hope, of something inherent deep within us, something that has held us all this time and will continue to hold us",
All festival events will take place at the "Okolnyi Zamok" Museum Space in Lutsk. This year, "Frontera" will feature a special children’s program organized by "Barabuka," the Children’s Reading Laboratory of the National Center "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine." A partner bookstore, "Readeat," will also be operating on-site.
