Did you know that Lutsk is setting its sights on becoming a capital of creative industries? Or that the city even has a signature “Communicationista” cocktail dedicated to everyone working in the field? Or that there’s a growing local community called “Ambassador of Lutsk”?
In the very heart of the capital, amidst crucial discussions and the rustling of book pages, Lutsk offered a reminder: big changes are often born in small yards, in family archives, and in voices that echo in the city’s memory.
A delegation from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change visited Lutsk to learn more about the city’s growing creative landscape. The Institute — founded by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair — is one of the world’s leading policy and advisory organisations.
Located on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street, the location was created as a platform for active interaction between citizens, implementation of socially important initiatives, and development of urban communities. The space was designed taking into account the needs of residents and will operate in the spring-autumn period.
On August 2-3, the International Literary Festival "Frontera" will take place in Lutsk for the fifth time, bringing together Ukrainian and international writers, translators, and media professionals. Around 60 participants from Ukraine, Spain, Colombia, Great Britain, and Poland are expected to attend.
