misto.cafe, a social impact café initiated by the Algorytm platform, has announced its first grant season following a successful first working quarter since its opening in September 2024.
The café has 100 co-founders who each made a one-time, non-refundable contribution to start the project. An important point is that, according to the project's terms, they are not involved with the operational activities of misto.cafe and don’t claim any share of the financial profits. Because café commits 80% of its net profit to support projects for Lutsk's development.
The first grant season was announced with a total budget of 293 885 UAH (this is an amount generated during the first working quarter).
From January 15 to February 15, 2025, misto.cafe accepts grant applications ranging from 30 000 to 100 000 UAH. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations registered within the Lutsk municipal territorial community or those implementing projects in this location and initiative groups submitting applications through a partner non-profit organization.
Co-founders determine the themes of grant seasons at quarterly general meetings. They also choose projects to receive funding through voting.
This season the café seeks to fund ideas that:
- Enhance urban environments to be more comfortable, modern, and accessible.
- Promote cultural identity.
- Inspire community unity towards common goals.
- Ensure sustainable development through innovative and eco-friendly solutions.
- Support vulnerable populations, making Lutsk an inclusive city for everyone.
Detailed information on the grant application procedure is available on the misto.cafe website (in Ukrainian only).
All supported projects must adhere to the principles of a barrier-free environment, ensuring equal access to services, opportunities, and resources for all community members.
