Installed in late 2023 in downtown Lutsk, the “Grain” sculpture has a unique goal — to raise donations for Ukraine's demining efforts.
Within a few months, it has received over 200,000 UAH (approximately 5,000 USD), with ongoing fundraising.
The “Grain,” created by the GAZ art group and initiated by the Algorytm platform is a part of The Public City Square at the intersection of Lesiia Ukrainka Street and Kryvyi Val Street. It has become a focal point for tourists and locals alike. They come here to relax and often take photos with the sculpture to attract even more attention to the fundraising cause.

It raises funds for equipment for sappers through the Come Back Alive Foundation, a partner of the Algorytm platform. How does it work? A plaque near the “Grain” features a QR code linking to the fundraising campaign. So people just scan the code and donate. You can also join the fundraising efforts by following the link.
Currently, about 40% of Ukraine's territory remains mined. No country since World War II has faced such widespread mine contamination.
Every day, our sappers work along the front line, demine reoccupied territories. Metal detectors and other equipment assist them in their daily tasks and save their lives
